Our Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail Snack Shack became reality after we donated 12'-20' of property frontage to close the last remaining gap between Tuscarawas county and Cleveland, Ohio. at a time we were looking for an opportunity to do something fun and rewarding.

In May 2016. my family agreed to donate a 12'-20' section our our property frontage to the Ohio & Erie Canal-way Towpath Trail which was needed to close the last remaining gap between Tuscarawas county and Cleveland, Ohio. In Dec 2013 the Bolivar aqueduct McDonnell trail head was dedicated which brought the trail to the Tuscarawas-Stark county line. In 2016 the Bolivar trail was developed to about 20 feet of our property line. In 2019 the trail development will include our property to the Wheeling & Lake Erie 12' 6" Railroad bridge and from the McDonnell trail-head to the bridge. In 2019, the bridge shelter and two sections will be joined.

The about section is broke down to focus on either "About the Snack Shack" and "About the Peace Park" that we may include specific information about how each evolved.

I'm in the front house by the 12' 6" RR bridge with a food service trailer with Towpath Trail Snack Shack in the front yard. Go to the lower driveway easement closest to the canal and you may park by the handicapped accessible Porta-Jon. In the event that you arrive and no one is available to meet & greet you, please feel free to set up camp in the field between the Ohio & Erie Canal and the lower driveway easement.

STARK BYWAY SIGNRemember Sunday drives? Did you know the Towpath Trail Snack Shack is located on an Ohio Scenic Byway? Peace Park Plan

We love the history of our historical corner of the Greenville Peace Treaty Line, Ohio-Erie Canalway Towpath Trail and Scenic Byway, Buckeye Trail, the Great American Rail-Trail. and within sight of where the first white man Christian Federick Post, a Moravian missionary to the largest Delaware Native American settlement in Ohio in 1758-'62. To have the opportunity to celebrate, encourage, and share such rich early Ohio history gives us great pleasure. Since we first started to make about a quarter acre of our little corner available to the public we've thought of a bunch of ideas and received a few great suggestions on how we may improve the visitor experience.

This is our wish list plan to improve our campsites for public usage.
