Ohio & Erie Canal
Our mobile Towpath Trail Snack Shack catering is a family business dedicated to serving quality food to raise funds toward renovating a barn to become the permanent snack shack on our donated easement!
We cater quality all beef hot dogs, gourmet exotic meat sausages and trail snacks to the bird watchers, bikers, hikers, dog walkers, Tuscarawas River fishermen and canoeist from the Ohio-Erie canal towpath trail where the Greenville peace treaty line intersects 1.5 miles west on Scenic Byway route 212 from Bolivar, Ohio I-77 exit 93.
We sell quality all beef hickory smoked franks (AKA hot dogs), traditional hot dogs, smoked sausages, bratwurst, gourmet exotic meat sausages, French fries, onion rings, sweet corn, coleslaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, salads, pickle on a stick, jerky, trail-mix, granola, chips, ice cold Pepsi products, lemonade, bottled water and & more. We purchase quality fresh produce including lettuce, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, and sweet corn from local farmers or auctions whenever possible.
Amish country's Walnut Creek Foods brand All Beef Hickory Smoked Franks are Gluten Free without MSG made using quality cuts of meat! We're sure you'll agree they're the best hot dogs you'll ever chow down! 100% quality beef!
During the Revolutionary war and Ohio Erie canal era's smoked sausage was a common method of preserving meat! We use Smoked Skinless, Smoked Cheesy, Smoked Hot & Spicy, or Cheese & Jalapeño sausage.
If you're into new culinary experiences you'd love our exotic caribou-reindeer sausage special! Reindeer hot dogs are frequently leaner and milder in flavor, tasting similar to venison sausage, but less gamy.
Our gourmet exotic bison bratwurst sausage will be a treat to your taste buds since it's richer in flavor. Bison is healthier than beef because it's lower in saturated fat and a great source of nutrients, it has the basics: zinc, niacin, iron, vitamin B6 and selenium. Come try a Bison Brat soon!
Uncle Mike's Beef Jerky and Sticks are made the old fashioned way in Holmes County by Ohio Amish.
No fishing license, no worries! NTR maintains a private stocked pond at their property.
The Tuscarawas river is also available about a hundred feet from the pond for licensed fisherman.
No entry fees, just bring your dad or grand-dad!!!
What better way to celebrate Father's Day than spending a day fishing with dad?
Start Father’s Day off right by bringing Dad to the first annual Fishing Derby at NTR Canoe Livery. Enjoy a light brunch by the pond and try to catch the “big one”. Prizes will be awarded to participants who catch the largest fish in each of the age categories (including dads!). Bring your own fishing poles, bait, and hooks. Catch and release are practiced. All participants must register at the event. There is no fee.
Prizes to include: NTR (Weekday) canoe rental, Zoar Ghost Tour for two, and 6 $20 Bonus Certificates for Dick's Sporting Goods and discount coupons for Father's.
