    The Tuscarawas river is also available about a hundred feet from the pond for licensed fishermen.

We invite you to stop at our historical byway intersection where the Greenville treaty line crosses the towpath trail, Ohio Buckeye Trail, and of course, our section of Ohio & Erie Canalway National Scenic Byway!

    Primitive tent camping is now available on the Greenville Peace Treaty Line, Buckeye Trail, Ohio-Erie Canal Towpath Trail, Scenic Byway, & the Great American Rail-Trail! 

    Weekends $25 up to two people, $5 each additional person. $10 additional car parking spot. Weekdays 25% off per night. Firewood bundle $10 * History lecture $10 (prices as of 4/25/21)

    Bolivar, Ohio is a not-so-sleepy village strategically placed at the northern tip of Tuscarawas County, and its slogan, “Gateway to Tuscarawas County” harkens back to canal era days.

    Located along the mighty Tuscarawas River just off Interstate 77 at State Route 212 in Lawrence Twp., the village offers all the amenities of today within a small-town, historic setting.

    Nature lovers will enjoy the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath, and history buffs are welcome to visit the only revolutionary war fort in Ohio – Fort Laurens.
